Ecclesiastes 3: 1-2:

There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven— a time to give birth, and a time to die,

Amos 3:7:

Surely the Lord does nothing unless he reveals his secrets to his servants the prophets.

On March 1, 2012, God appointed my husband Jim, to whom I had been clearly appointed to marry 51 years earlier in 1961, to depart earth and be welcomed into Heaven.

Before his spirit was carried by an Angel Band to see his Lord, Jesus gave him a special assignment and me a prophetic word of great promise:

Early in the day, the Holy Spirit spoke one word to me.  He said, “Shepherd.”

I said back to him,  “Lord, you have to give me more than that because I don’t have a clue what that means.”

The Lord replied, “Every one of my children has at least one of my attributes. Am I the good shepherd?” he asked.

“Yes, Lord,” I replied.

The Lord then said, “Jim also has the attribute of a shepherd and he’s going to continue to shepherd this little flock.”

I can’t really say exactly what the Lord meant in His prophetic word to me, but He has shown me in a myriad of ways that we all live and move and have our being in Christ. God can show us how we are indeed surrounded by the great cloud of witnesses (Hebrews 12:1), and that, through the Holy Spirit, sometimes He lets them communicate verbally to us. Sometimes He gives us visions, and sometimes he gives us dreams, but God’s arm is not short to show us that Families Are Forever!
