My favorite meal growing up was our traditional thanksgiving dinner in November. Still today,
I can hardly wait for Thanksgiving Day with family and friends.

Just imagine with me, now, the mouth-watering tastes and smells of a full plate of juicy turkey
slices of white and brown meat. Along with tasty stuffing and mashed potatoes smothered in hot
turkey gravy. Yum! Next to it, a big helping of delicious sweet potato pie and creamy green bean casserole. Complimented with an appetizing hot buttered roll, cranberry sauce, black or green olive pickles. Seconds, anyone! Finally saving the best for last, a large slice of pumpkin and pecan pie. Piled high with whipping cream and two scoops of vanilla ice cream on the side. I’m stuffed!
This annual gratifying feast reminds me of experiencing the promise of Psalm 34:8, “Oh taste and see that the Lord is good.” Choosing to become more watchful and thankful each day is a continual feast of God’s presence, one thought at a time. Enter the joy of God’s wisdom from
Thessalonians 5:18, “Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
I personally started a daily thanksgiving book four years ago in December. It has been a real blessing in seeing God’s goodness in my life no matter what happens.
I challenge you to think of and write down three things you can thank God for daily, no matter your situation or circumstances. Get started today being more thankful and blessed.
